Meditiation and Auto-Immune Relief

When my daughter was diagnosed at 8 years of age with Crohn's Disease I researched everything I could to help her. I decided what she needed to do was meditation . Well, despite my efforts, 8 year olds kids don't relate to meditation!!!!

Although she didn't embrace it, I did. I started a new journey to discover Yoga and emotional release through meditation.That was 4 and a half years ago.

Since I started that journey, I was diagnosed myself with Rheumatoid arthritis. Other family members have also been diagnosed with auto-immune disease.

It was almost that it was meant to be. I started learning these techniques before I really needed them to heal.

You don't have to be some Guru living in India to meditate. You don't have to be part of a cult to meditate. You start and just keep practicing without judgement or apprehension.

It truly is a journey of self discovery. Emotions like anger and fear live and rage in our souls. Meditation helps us to release these emotions. It really does help us heal auto-immune disease.

Deepak Chopra linked Child Abuse to Auto-Imuune disease when he was talking about his friend Michael Jackson. Michael suffered from Lupus. Many don't know he had severe glaucoma when he died.

It's not the whole, but emotional fear is part of the auto-immune response.It's not necessarily an outward display of release but internally a shift in the body that creates permanent healing.

Fear, guilt, anger and grief break us down. Even just an awareness that these emotions exist is a start.

I am so early in this journey but the little that I have done has made a big difference.
